About the Find and Replace
Find and Replace changes every match in your text at once, which is much faster than editing by hand. Enter the text to find and its replacement. Leave the replacement empty to delete every match.
Match case makes the search case-sensitive. Whole words only stops “cat” from matching inside “category”. For advanced patterns, tick Use regular expression: you can then match patterns such as \d+ for numbers and use $1 in the replacement to insert captured groups.
How to use it
- Paste your text into the input box.
- Enter what to find and what to replace it with.
- Choose any options you need.
- Click Replace All and copy the result.

- Updating a product name or date across a long document.
- Removing unwanted words or characters.
- Converting separators, such as semicolons to commas.
- Reformatting data with regular expressions.

Which regular expression features are supported?
The tool uses JavaScript regular expressions with Unicode support, including groups, lookarounds and classes such as \p{L} for any letter.
