About the Remove Numbers
Sometimes you need the words without the numbers: list items with numbering, product names with model codes, or transcripts full of timestamps. This tool deletes every digit from 0 to 9, including digits from other writing systems.
Removing a number from the middle of a sentence usually leaves a double space behind. With Tidy up leftover spaces ticked, those gaps are collapsed and each line is trimmed. Punctuation that was attached to the numbers, such as a decimal point or a currency sign, is left in place so you can decide what to do with it.
How to use it
- Paste your text into the input box.
- Keep Tidy up leftover spaces ticked for a cleaner result.

Frequently asked questions
Are decimal points and currency signs removed too?
No. Only digits are removed. Use Remove Punctuation or Remove Special Characters to remove the leftover symbols.
Can I keep the numbers and remove everything else?
Yes. Use the Extract Numbers tool, which lists every number it finds.
Are numbers written as words removed?
No. Words like “three” are ordinary text and are kept.
