About the Add Line Numbers
Numbered lines make it easy to refer to a specific part of a document, script, poem or code snippet. This tool adds a number to the start of every line, starting from any number you choose.
Numbers are padded so they line up neatly, for example when the list goes past line 9 or 99. Choose a dot, colon, bracket or tab after the number. The tab option is handy when pasting into a spreadsheet, because the numbers land in their own column.
How to use it
- Paste your text.
- Set the starting number and separator.
- Click Add Line Numbers and copy the result.

Yes. Remove them first with Remove Empty Lines if you want continuous numbering.
